Nushagak Advisory Committee Meeting

The Nushagak Dillingham Advisory Committee plans to meet at 9AM, Tuesday, March
20th, 2012, at the Dillingham City Chambers, in Dillingham, Alaska…

The purpose of the meeting is to announce the call of proposals for the Board
of Fisheries, to discuss and comment on concerning issues with the Bristol Bay
Fisheries; to elect members to the committee and fill vacant seats. This
committee will also be meeting to draft proposals for the Board of Fisheries
2012/2013, Bristol Bay Area (All Finfish) meetings begining December 4-12, 2012
in King Salmon/ Naknek, AK. Advisory committees are local groups that meet to
discuss fishing and hunting issues and to provide recommendations to Alaska
Board of Fisheries and Alaska Board of Game. Advisory Committees are intended
to provide a local forum on fish and wildlife issues. Their purpose includes:
1) developing regulatory proposals, 2) evaluating regulatory proposals and
making recommendations to the appropriate board, 3) providing a local forum for
fish and wildlife conservation and use, including matters relating to habitat,
4) advising the appropriate regional council on resources, and 5) consulting
with individuals, organizations, and agencies.

IN THE SUBSISTENCE, COMMERCIAL, PERSONAL USE, SPORT, GUIDED SPORT, AND GUIDED
SPORT ECOTOURISM FINFISH REGULATIONS FOR BRISTOL BAY; ARCTIC-YUKON-KUSKOKWIM,
ALASKA PENINSULA/ALEUTIAN ISLANDS FINFISH AREAS; AND STATEWIDE FINFISH
REGULATIONS

PROPOSAL DEADLINE - 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, APRIL 10, 2012

A limited number of copies of the proposal book will be available between mid
to late September 2012. Council members and the public can also view or
download the proposal book from the Board of Game/ Board of Fish website:

PUBLIC IS INVITED AND ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND AND PARTICIPATE

To give input, comment, concerns, ideas, and help deliberate on drafting
proposals. I also encourage you to submit proposals, if you have your own
personal opinion about the fishery regulations or want to make changes to the
current regulations or processes.
