Yukon Flats Fish And Game Advisory Committee- Postponed

The Yukon Flats Advisory Committee will be holding a public meeting in Fort
Yukon in the Fort Yukon Tribal Hall, on Tuesday October 18th, 2011 at a time to
be announced.

Agenda items will include the following items:
Update on GMU 25
Comment on Interior BOG Proposals
Discuss AYK BOF Proposals due by 2012
Schedule Teleconference
Election for Fort Yukon and Birch Creek seats

Advisory committees are local groups that meet to discuss fishing and wildlife
issues and to provide recommendations to Alaska Board of Fisheries and Alaska
Board of Game. All meetings are open to the public. Advisory Committees are
intended to provide a local forum on fish and wildlife issues. Their purpose
includes: 1) developing regulatory proposals, 2) evaluating regulatory
proposals and making recommendations to the appropriate board, 3) providing a
local forum for fish and wildlife conservation and use, including matters
relating to habitat, 4) advising the appropriate regional council on resources,
and 5) consulting with individuals, organizations, and agencies.

This AC meeting will also hold an election for 2 Fort Yukon seats, one Birch
Creek seat, and 1 undesignated seat. If you are from the area and would like
to serve on this committee, or know someone who would, please come to the
meeting. Names will be collected at the meeting. All persons of legal voting
age are eligible to vote and be elected.
