Notice Of Public Meeting For The Craig Fish And Game Advisory Committee In The Southeast Region

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING FOR THE CRAIG FISH AND GAME ADVISORY COMMITTEE IN THE
SOUTHEAST REGION

This is an announcement of a public meeting of the Craig local fish and game
advisory committee in the Southeast Region of Alaska. All meetings are open to
the public.

The Craig Advisory Committee will be meeting Monday, January 19th, 2009. The
meeting will be held in Craig, Ak. There will be elections held at this meeting
in order to reconstitute the Advisory Committee. They will discus designating
seats on the Advisory Committee to different user groups and they will be
discussing proposed changes regarding shellfish in the Southeast area. If you
are interested in attending, come on down. If you have any questions, please

Advisory committees are local groups that meet to discuss fishing and wildlife
issues and to provide recommendations to Alaska Board of Fisheries and Alaska
Board of Game. Advisory Committees are intended to provide a local forum on
fish and wildlife issues. Their purpose includes: 1) developing regulatory
proposals, 2) evaluating regulatory proposals and making recommendations to the
appropriate board, 3) providing a local forum for fish and wildlife
conservation and use, including matters relating to habitat, 4) advising the
appropriate regional council on resources, and 5) consulting with individuals,
organizations, and agencies.

The advisory committees will review proposed changes to fishing and hunting
