Notice Of Public Meeting For Juneau Douglas Fish And Game Advisory Committee

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETINGS FOR THE JUNEAU/DOUGLAS FISH AND GAME ADVISORY
COMMITTEE IN THE SOUTHEAST REGION

This is an announcement of a public meeting of the Juneau/Douglas local fish
and game advisory committee in the Southeast Region of Alaska. All meetings are
open to the public.

The Juneau / Douglas Advisory Committee will be meeting October 22, 2008,at
6:30 pm. in the Caribou Conference Room at ADF&G headquarters located at 1255
West 8th Street. They will be discussing Fish and Game issues related to
Southeast. They will be having elections for two seats which expire December
31, 2008. If you are interested in attending, come on down. If you have any

Advisory committees are local groups that meet to discuss fishing and wildlife
issues and to provide recommendations to Alaska Board of Fisheries and Alaska
Board of Game. Advisory Committees are intended to provide a local forum on
fish and wildlife issues. Their purpose includes: 1) developing regulatory
proposals, 2) evaluating regulatory proposals and making recommendations to the
appropriate board, 3) providing a local forum for fish and wildlife
conservation and use, including matters relating to habitat, 4) advising the
appropriate regional council on resources, and 5) consulting with individuals,
organizations, and agencies.

The advisory committees will review proposed changes to fishing and hunting
