That is a sick person is prescribed a drug to help a medical condition, to cure or manage symptoms for the patient to return to daily activities of living. Prop 2, as I understand it, is for healthy people to recreationally use a drug which impairs their activities of daily living. I have had patients that were weeks in our rehabilitation centers or long-term care because of recreational drug use and now could no longer take care of themselves. Can the state explain why establishing recreational drug use is a benefit to society?
